Kristopher Klokkenga is co-Founder and Managing Director of Africa Atlantic Franchise Farms Ltd (Ghana) and serves on the Board of Directors of Africa Atlantic Holdings Ltd (Dubai).
Kris grew up on a farm in Central Illinois and graduated from the prestigious Agricultural Economics Department of the University of Illinois. Kris spent his early career in commodity trading and logistics with the Archer Daniels Midland Company (ADM - Fortune #52). Later, after a mission trip to Ghana, Kris decided to focus his career on developing profitable businesses that could also benefit the people of Africa. He took a position as General Manager for ADM's shea nut processing factory in Tema, Ghana. He then served as General Manager of the same facility for Wilmar Corporation (Singapore), the largest palm oil producer in Asia with a growing presence in Africa.
Kris now runs Africa Atlantic Franchise Farms Ghana and resides near Lake Volta.
