John Dragonetti is Deputy Chairman of Africa Atlantic Holdings Ltd (Dubai), an industrial development company currently installing a 10,000 hectare (25,000 acre) commercial agriculture park and franchise farming system on the shores of Lake Volta in Ghana.
Mr. Dragonetti has most recently been a business consultant and financial intermediary based in theMiddle East and the United States, working on mergers and acquisitions as well as capital raising for oil and gas companies. Throughout his extensive career he has established close personal and business relationships with many government, social, and business leaders. He has also been an advisor to business and government entities, primarily focused on the oil and gas sector.
As a 37 year resident in the Middle East, Mr. Dragonetti has extensive knowledge of the energy sector in that region as well as in Africa. Having been an senior executive of three international oil companies he has been instrumental in obtaining oil concessions in the United Arab Emirates, Egypt and Mozambique; and has also been involved in petroleum exploration and development in Tunisia, Syria and Oman.
Mr. Dragonetti ‘s corporate assignments and consulting projects focused on the role of “Lead Man”,being first in country to make government and business contacts to set up new ventures; establishing corporate operating organizations; and advising on all areas of management, training, risk management and safety.
Mr. Dragonetti holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in education and a Master of Arts in Management, from Michigan State University in the USA. He has been an active member of the international community in Dubai and was a founding member of the American Business Council in Dubai. He is a published fiction author and certified scuba diving instructor.
During the last two years Mr. Dragonetti and his wife have shared their time between Dubai and the USA. They will soon move to Tanzania where Mr. Dragonetti will take up the position as Senior Advisor to the Chairman of Wentworth Resources Ltd.
