| Issa Baluch Chairman Africa Atlantic Holdings Ltd (Dubai)
Issa Baluch is Chairman of Africa Atlantic Holdings Ltd (Dubai), an industrial development company currently installing a 10,000 hectare (25,000 acre) commercial agriculture park and franchise farming system on the shores of Lake Volta in Ghana.
A 37-year veteran of the freight forwarding industry, Issa is credited with helping to pioneer the thriving sea-air transport business that operates in the United Arab Emirates. Issa holds a Masters in Business from the University of Hull (UK) and has also completed numerous aviation, transport, and freight forwarding programs. He started his career as a Talley Clerk at the Gulf Agency Company in Dubai in 1973. In 1989, Issa founded the Swift Group in Dubai, one of the leading logistics providers in the UAE with offices in 40 countries throughout Africa, Asia, and the Middle East.
Aside from being Founder and Chairman of the Swift Group, Issa also served as President of FIATA (the International Association of Freight Forwarders Associations) and served on the Board of the International Cargo Association (TIACA) and Dubai Logistics City, and the Marketing Committee of the Dubai Flower Centre. In 2006, he received the Lifetime Achievement Award from Air Cargo News.
Issa, along with his wife and family, reside in Dubai and North Carolina.
