Africa Atlantic Franchise Farms Ltd. is a Ghanaian registered company developing and managing a 50-acre demonstration farm in the country's Eastern Region along the northern shores of Lake Volta in the Afram Plains.
The purpose of the demonstration farm is to establish systematic farming methods, utilizing optimal seed, equipment, and personnel management, along with modern irrigation, suitable for year-round production agriculture in West Africa. Maize production will be the main subject of research, although other items will be field tested including fruits, vegetables, flowers, trees, and landscape foliage. A center-pivot irrigation system is being installed in April 2010 as well as garden drip systems.
